"The view was excellent. We stayed in 405 which is a one bedroom. It was a little small for 3 people but overall a very nice experience. The pools were nice and I loved the convenience of being on the by-pass. I didn't have to fight the Gatlinburg traffic. I would go back to the Highlands."

"I have been coming to Gatlinburg 2 or 3 times a year for 10 years and for the last 3 years we have stayed at the highlands, it has great views and easy to get to downtown without all the traffic. The pools are nice and the outdoor hot tub is great. for the price you spend you get a great condo and the front desk has always been helpful. I have stayed in the 3 bedroom, 2 bedroom with upstairs and 2 bedroom flat, the only problem I found was the shower in the 2 bedroom with the upstairs, was a little small. everything is great, perfect for a getaway of any type. I will come year after year."

"My husband and I have been staying at the Highland since the 1980's. We just lucked out on our very first trip to Gatlinburg by being booked at the Highland. We had no idea what we would actually get. Wow! We were ovewhelmed with the view and the amenities for the price. The Highland is bordered on three sides by the National Park. You have a sense of actually being in the mountains because the mountains are all around you, and yet just below you can see Gatlinburg. The city lights at night are awesome. We have been back many, many times."

"We loved the Highlands because of it's convenience to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It is only a short drive to both yet you still get the calming atmosphere of the mountains. We have stayed in quite a few different condos but have found the best one to be #106 (a 2 bedroom). The decor is beautiful - very up to date and clean. It is also very convenient to the pool. There is a walkway from the sliding glass doors directly to the pool area - very nice when you have small children. I was very impressed with this condo and it's amenities."

"Amazing is the one word I would use to describe the Highlands. Even upon arrival, you can tell its gonna be a great stay. It was clean and huge. We stayed in the 3 bedroom/3 bath and though we had 2 kids, the spiral staircase wasn't a big problem. They didn't climb it but if its a concern, bring a gate or put something in front of it. The view to wake up every morning and roll over and see the beautiful mountains with morning haze so breathtaking and the second day we got there we left the condo and started back into Gatlinburg and there was a bear so you're right there in the thick of it all. I would recommend this to everyone...its gonna be the only place we stay. The office personnel was wonderful; anything we needed or wanted they got for us. And the room pretty much provided it all. And for the workaholics like my hubby, there is DSL in the meeting room. You just go to the office and get a key and you're all set. Definitely consider the place....it's just amazing."
